'immersive' -

'In the round'-
perform in a circle with actors saying the lines on after another .this kind of set up builds tension and atmosphere.
'promenade'-
the actors stay in the same place , and the audience moves around , one scene could be in a toilet and another outside, this can be good because it means that set isn't as hard to think about , but it is bad because it loses atmosphere and tension when in-between scenes and doesn't flow as well.
'traverse'-
Audience are placed on two sides sort of like a cat walk and actors perform in the middle.
'3 sided' -
like it says in the name the audience are on 3 side and audience perform sort of in the middle .
'end on'-
this is them most common type of stage as it is often used in theatres ,audience are seated in front of the stage and actors stay on stage.
'thrust'-
apron type audience , not quite 3 side or end on but more of a curve , it involves the audience more but doesn't make it so audience members can no see .
